Search begins for Plant Sciences Institute director

Iowa State has launched a
search for a director of the Plant Sciences Institute.
Richard Seagrave, distinguished professor of chemical engineering, is chairing the search committee.
The Plant Sciences Institute consists of eight established interdisciplinary research centers spanning several colleges. The centers focus on several issues related to plant sciences, including bioinformatics and biological statistics, plant breeding and seed science.
Colin Scanes, associate dean of the College of Agriculture, is the interim director of the Plant Sciences Institute.
