ISU college convocations, Fall 1999

Agriculture
• Convocation: 4 p.m., Monday, Aug. 23, Memorial Union Sun Room, Dean David Topel will speak.

Business
• Convocation: 3:15-5 p.m., Friday, Aug. 20, Memorial Union Pioneer Room, Dean Ben Allen will speak, new faculty and staff introduced.

Design
• Faculty/staff reception: 6-8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 23, Memorial Union Campanile Room.

Education
• Convocation: 2-5 p.m., Friday, Aug. 20, E164 Lagomarcino, Dean Walt Gmelch will speak, new faculty and staff introduced.

Engineering
• Convocation, 4:10 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 25, 207 Marston, Dean Jim Melsa will speak.

Family and Consumer Sciences
• Convocation activities: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 19, Scheman Building, Iowa State Center,
8 a.m., continental breakfast, Dean Carol Meeks will speak, new faculty and staff introduced, discussions on vision for college, strategic planning.

Liberal Arts and Sciences
• Convocation: Wednesday, Sept. 1, 4:10 p.m., Memorial Union Sun Room, Dean Peter Rabideau will speak, new faculty introduced, promoted faculty recognized, moment of silence for faculty members who died last year.

Veterinary Medicine
• Convocation: Wednesday, Sept. 1, 4 p.m., 2532 Vet. Med., Dean Richard Ross will speak and reports on major new initiatives will be presented by associate deans and faculty.
