Lauren Christian

Lauren Christian, C.F. Curtiss Distinguished Professor of Agriculture (animal science) and director of the Iowa Pork Industry Center, died Nov. 23 of cancer. He was 62. Christian was buried Nov. 28 in the ISU cemetery, and the animal science department organized a campus memorial service for him Nov. 30.

Gifts toward a graduate fellowship endowment may be made to the Lauren L. Christian Memorial, ISU Foundation.

Joan Rottler

Joan Rottler, temporary instructor in philosophy and religious studies, died Nov. 21 of cancer. She was 55. Memorial services were held Nov. 28 (Des Moines) and Dec. 7 (Memorial Union).
