Kirk Smith on CBS Sunday Morning
Associate music professor and director of orchestras Kirk Smith will appear on a portion of CBS Sunday Morning Feb. 9 (8 to 9:30 a.m.). CBS is airing a segment on the Black Music Repertory Ensemble, a Columbia College, Chicago, group that promotes appreciation for the black musical heritage.
Smith was guest conductor for the ensemble's 1996 national tour. A CBS crew filmed the ensemble during a performance at Morehouse College, Atlanta, Ga.
