Help center offered Jan. 11-12

Students who have questions about the new school year can find answers at a help center the weekend before spring semester classes begin.

Located in 210 Beardshear, the help center will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12.

In its second year of operation, the help center focuses on assisting new Iowa State students, but also offers assistance to any student with beginning-of-the-semester questions.

The center will be staffed by the following units: Registrar, Student Financial Aid, Dean of Students and Parking Systems.

Several other Iowa State offices will be open during help center hours, including the Treasurer's Office and Accounts Receivable, 122 Beardshear; Computation Center, 195/197 Durham; Telecommunications, 271 Durham; ISUCard services, northwest study lounge, Memorial Union; Student Health, Student Services Building; and Residence Department, 1215 Friley.

Student Health Services will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. It also will be open for emergency care from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The University Book Store will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Free parking along Morrill Road will be available for students and parents during help center hours.
