Two Carver scholars confirm campus visits

The third and fourth George Washington Carver Visiting Scholars will come to campus this year. Lynda Jordan, associate professor of chemistry at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Greensboro, will visit campus Nov. 4-7. J. Herman Blake, vice chancellor for undergraduate education at Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis and professor of sociology, anthropology and education, will visit Jan. 14-17, 1997.

The Carver Visiting Scholar program was established in 1994 to broaden the educational experience of ISU students and enrich the campus climate by bringing scholars from under- represented groups to campus.

Details of Jordan's and Blake's visits will be covered in future issues of Inside Iowa State.
