SOV features familiar voice

by Steve Sullivan
A familiar voice will be heard during the 1996 Stars Over Veishea production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

Warren Madden, vice president for business and finance, is supplying the voice of the show's narrator -- the never seen, but often heard, author of the book that inspires the show's central character, Finch.

The lively, Pulitzer Prize-winning musical comedy currently is enjoying a Broadway revival, starring Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker. It tells the story of J. Pierrepont Finch's climb from window washer to the top of the corporate ladder. The musical is set in the corporate world of the 1960s, when there were no computers or cellular phones.

How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, will be performed at 7:30 p.m. April 18, 19 and 20 in Stephens Auditorium.

Tickets are $9.50, $11.50 and $12.50 in advance. There is an extra $1 charge for day-of-show tickets. ISU students and children under the age of 18 get a $4 discount. Senior citizens and groups of 10 or more get a $2 discount. Tickets are available through all TicketMaster outlets.
