Finalists named in residence director search
Five candidates for the position of director of the department of residence will visit campus in late April and early May.
The candidates are: Winston Baker, director of residence services at Marshall University, Huntington, W. Va.; James Burkhalter, director of residence, Texas Tech University, Lubbock; Alice Gustafson, assistant director of residence, University of Wisconsin, Madison; Robert Hopkins, director of the department of residence, University of Pittsburgh; and John Schuh, associate vice president for student affairs, Wichita State University, Kansas.
Each candidate's campus visit will include an open forum. That schedule will run in the April 18 edition of Inside.
Long-time director of residence Chuck Frederiksen will retire this June. Tom Thielen, vice president for student affairs, said the goal is to have a new director on board in late June or early July.
