                Tree Lighting Monday

The annual campus tree-lighting ceremony will begin at 5:15 
p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, on the steps of Beardshear.

This year's festivities will include a luminary-lined walk 
from Beardshear to the Farm House, which will be open and 
decorated for the holidays. There also will be rides on a 
horse-drawn wagon, hot chocolate and cookies.

The Iowa State Singers, directed by Robert Molison, will 
provide seasonal music and lead a sing-a-long. President 
Martin Jischke will make a few remarks and throw the switch 
to light the holiday tree. A carillon concert by university 
carilloneur Tin-shi Tam will follow the program.

Morrill Road will be closed from 5 to 6 p.m. and Cy-Ride 
buses will travel alternate routes.
