ANNOUNCEMENTS NUTCRACKER AUDITIONS Auditions for the Iowa State Center production of The Nutcracker Ballet will be held Sunday, Sept. 10, in Stephens Auditorium. Registration begins at 11:15 a.m. Interested persons should arrive early to have time to fill out forms before their auditions. Children ages 8 and older will audition from noon to 3 p.m., adults from 3 to 4 p.m. and ballet dancers (male and female, pointe and non-pointe) 4 to 7 p.m. Dancers should wear leotards, tights and ballet or pointe shoes. RETIREES ANNIVERSARY The ISU Retirees Committee will celebrate its 20th anniversary from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, in Benton Auditorium, Scheman. Former ISU President Robert Parks and George Christensen will share some of their ISU memories. Following the program, an oak tree planted on the north Scheman lawn will be dedicated by the College for Seniors, a program of the ISU retirees group. The ISU Retirees Committee was organized by the late Helen LeBaron Hilton to serve university employees prior to and following retirement. The anniversary celebration is open to the public.
