Wait Ends; NBA Drafts Meyer, Hoiberg

Iowa State standouts Loren Meyer and Fred Hoiberg were among 
the 58 chosen in the National Basketball Association (NBA) 
draft June 28. 

Meyer, a native of Ruthven, was drafted by the Dallas 
Mavericks in the 24th slot. Ames native Hoiberg was drafted 
by the Indiana Pacers as the 52nd pick.

Hoiberg earned a bachelorŐs degree in May in business 
administration with a major in finance; Meyer has senior 
standing in speech communication.
