An Old-Fashioned Fourth Of July An old-fashioned Fourth of July will be held at the Farm House Museum, with turn-of-the-century games and activities beginning at 4 p.m. on the Farm House lawn. Entertainment will begin at 5 p.m. with the Sweet Adelines barbershop singers, history professor Clair Keller as George Washington and the Onion Creek Cloggers. From 5 to 7 p.m., there will be popcorn, lemonade and ice cream, and people are encouraged to bring their own picnics to enjoy on the lawn. At 7:30 p.m., the celebration moves to the football stadium, where the Ames Municipal band will perform.
